Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct the Bihar Head Master Exam 2024 on 14th June 2024 at the various exam centres acrosss the state. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a total of 6061 vacancies for head teacher posts in higher secondary schools under the Educational Department and Scheduled Caste and Tribe Welfare Department. Out of the total vacancies 2014 vacancies are reserved for women candidates. The category-wise vacancy details have been tabulated below in the table.

The online application link for Bihar Head Master Vacancy 2024 has been activated on 11th March 2024 at https://www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/. Aspiring and eligible candidates can submit their application forms online through the official portal of BPSC. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted. Steps to Apply Online for Bihar Head Master Vacancy 2024

Aspiring candidates can submit their application form for the Bihar Teacher Master Vacancy by visiting the official website of BPSC or from the direct link shared here by following the below step-by-step process.

1. Visit the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) i.e. www.bpsc.bih.nic.in.
2. On the left corner of the homepage, find the ‘Apply Online’ section and click on it.
3. Now, click for new registration and fill out the necessary details like name & contact details (valid mobile number and email ID).
4.  Candidates will receive a password and a registration number on their e-mail ID.
5.  With the help of the e-mail ID/registration number and password login to the Dashboard. and Click on “Head Teacher in Primary School under Educational Department”
6. Fill out your application form submit the required documents and fill required details.
7.  Now for the application fee, click on the payment option and pay through online modes of payment.
8. After paying the application fee click on the ‘Submit’ button and the registration will be completed.
9. Download and take a print copy of the Bihar Head Master application forms for future reference.

BPSC Head Master Vacancy 2024 Application Fee

To complete the BPSC Head Master application forms candidates are required to pay and required application fee as mentioned in the notification pdf. Candidates from the general category have to pay Rs. 700/- and candidates from SC/ ST/ women, and PH candidates are required to pay Rs. 200/-. The application fee will be paid online mode only. No application form will be accepted without the submission of the exam fee.

BPSC Head Master Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying online for BPSC Head Master Vacancy 2024 must ensure that they fulfil the Eligibility Criteria as mentioned on the notification pdf. Bihar Head Master Educational Qualification

• Candidates should pass their graduation from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. 5% relaxation shall be given in the minimum prescribed marks to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / EBC / BC / Differently able/female and EWS.
• The degree of ‘Aalim’ obtained from Maulana Mazharul Haque Arbi & Persian University, Patna / Bihar State Madarsa Education Board, and the degree of Shastri from Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University will be treated to be equivalent to graduation.
• Having qualified D.El.Ed/ B.T/ B.Ed./ B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.L.Ed.
• Having qualified Teachers Eligibility Test for those teachers who have been appointed in the year 2012 or onwards and Those Teachers who have been appointed before 2012 must be qualified efficiency Examination

Bihar Head Master Age Limit (as on 1/08/2023)

To apply online for the Bihar Head Master vacancy 2024 candidates’ ages should be between 31 years to 47 years as on 01.08.2023. Age relation will be provided for the reserved category.

Bihar Head Master Experience

1. Having a minimum of 08 years of continuous service in the post of Secondary Teacher in a State government school under Panchayati Raj Institutions or Municipal Body Institution.
2. Holding a minimum of 12 years of continuous service in the post of Secondary Teacher in School having permanent affiliation from C.B. S.EA.C. S.E./B.S.E.B.
3. Candidates having a minimum of 04 years of continuous service in the post of Senior Secondary Teacher in a State Government School under Panchayati Raj Institution or Municipal Body Institution.
4. Holding a minimum of 10 years of continuous service in the post of Senior Secondary Teacher in a School having permanent affiliation from C.B.S.M.C.S.E./ B.S.E.B.

BPSC Head Master Notification 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for BPSC Head Master posts includes one stage of recruitment test i.e. written exam. Based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam, the final merit list will be prepared. Candidates who fall under the merit list will be appointed for headmaster posts in higher secondary schools, in Bihar.

BPSC Head Master Exam Pattern 2024

• The written exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions.
• The written exam will be divided into 02 parts. Part 1 is for General Knowledge and part 2 questions asked from B.Ed Subjects.
• A total of 150 questions will be asked for a total of 150 marks.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

The minimum percentage of marks for qualifying for the next stage will be as under.

• General category – 40%
• Other Backward Class- 36.5%
• Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/Handicapped/ Women – 34%
